David Agnew has worked with the organisation since its inception, launching English Folk Expo in 2012.

As Director of So It Is, David launched Manchester Folk Festival, which hosted the Expo from 2017, before joining the organisation as Artistic Director when we began running Manchester Folk Festival in 2020.

David has worked in the sector for more than 25 years as a venue director, programmer and festival organiser with Ramsbottom Festival, Head for the Hills, The Lost Carnival and Big Whistle Festival.
